Mizuno Launch The Morelia 1985 'Made In Japan' Collection

Presenting a lifestyle boost to the 35-year anniversary celebrations of the Morelia, Mizuno launch the Morelia 1985 Made in Japan trainer, which combines the on-pitch aesthetics of the original boot with an authentic outsole that harks back to the era of its debut.

Made in Japan is an particular indicator of class and quality that is usually reserved for Mizuno’s football boots only. But as part of the celebrations surrounding the 35-year anniversary of one of the Japanese brand’s most successful boots of all time, the Morelia, they’ve relaxed their policies somewhat, rolling out two stunning retro-infused lifestyle options that bear the seal of premium craftsmanship.

Joining the Morelia II Made in Japan that Mizuno launched in a classic “Black/White/Chinese Red” colourway back in January, the Mizuno Morelia 1985 trainer has been released in two distinct options: the first sees a classic recreation of the Morelia’s supple k-leather upper, and it rides in on a white midsole and black outsole. That option is joined by more of a specifically lifestyle option, with a sleek blacked out suede upper riding in on a red outsole. We’ve said it before but it applies here again: you could certainly kick a ball about in these, but would you really want to? Nah, us neither.
