adidas Launch The Predator 20+ "Tormentor" Colourway

Landing as just the third paint job on the new-generation Predator 20+ adidas introduce the "Tormentor" edition which arrives in another familiar Predator colour combination. The aggressive looking silhouette is refreshed for spring as the Three Stripes kick off their "Tormentor" pack in laceless style.

The boots we're looking at here won't be joined by corresponding X, Nemeziz and COPA colourways but the fact that it has been given a 'pack' title indicates that adidas could spring a disruptive surprise to ensure that the Predator 20 isn't completely alone. The Predator 20+ Mutator was launched in the OG "Black/White/Red" combo, before being followed up by the all black version from the "Shadowbeast" pack, meaning that this colour update provides a first view at how adidas plan to split their colour palettes.

It appears that the brand are sticking to their tried and tested colour arrangement on Predators of old. A three-colour combination that sees a bold upper colour with white stripes and red detailing, including on the trademark 406 rubber elements on the Demonskin upper – an innovative layer designed to enhance grip and spin on the ball.

The colourway here is best remembered on one of adidas' rarest but most sought after designs: the Predator Mania colourway worn by a selection of Japan players at the 2002 World Cup which they co-hosted with South Korea. As with all Predator 20 releases, the laceless Predator 20+ edition featured here will be joined by a laced & collared Predator 20.1, as well as a low-cut Predator 20.1.
