Umbro Brasil Reveals Pink 'Outubro Rosa' Jerseys For Its Seven Clubs

It’s the time of year in Brazil where teams raise awareness for a common cause, and as such, Umbro has once again united its Brazilian roster in a uniform pink look as part of ‘Outubro Rosa’ to raise awareness of Breast Cancer.

Setting rivalries aside for a tradition that unites teams under the banner of raising awareness of breast cancer, Umbro have revealed its latest ‘Outubro Rosa’ collection, dressing out Athletico Paranaense, Avai, Chapecoense, Fluminense, Gremio, Santos, and Sport Recife in uniform pink looks. The collection arrives in partnership with FEMAMA (Brazilian Federation of Philanthropic Institutions to Support Breast Health), this is the third consecutive year that all Umbro Brasil clubs have participated in the campaign, which began in 2015 with kits launched for Grêmio.

This year’s collection pays homage to the 1922 Modern Art Week, which celebrates its centenary this year. All club’s have received the same template, and they reference the Modern Art Week through the geometric jacquard graphics. The only change in the shirts is the switch up of club crests. Five percent of the sales of Pink October shirts will be allocated to FEMAMA.

We have always thought of using the power of football to contribute to society, and our launch of Pink October is yet another example of how Umbro can bring visibility to important causes such as breast cancer awareness,” explained Eduardo Dal Pogetto, director of Umbro Brasil. “It’s now the eighth year that we have made special shirts related to the theme and we are very proud to see that our partner clubs have embraced the idea for real. On social media, we have already seen great anxiety on the part of fans regarding this launch, which has become a tradition for the brand.
