PUMA Unveil The 20/21 La Liga Match Balls

With focus firmly fixed on a fresh new campaign, PUMA have launched the official match balls for the 20/21 La Liga season. The ball comes in two different versions: the Accelerate, in traditional white, is the main ball for the season, while the Adrenalina, in fluorine lemon, will be used in games like El Clásico, the Derbies and other decisive matches.

When the official match ball comes out, a new season starts to feel real and more tangible. We’ve already had it for Serie A and the Premier League, and now it’s the turn of La Liga, as PUMA unveil two designs for the 20/21 season. The Accelerate and Adrenalina balls are technologically the same, and they both have received FIFA quality approval, ensuring the highest level of performance.

The Accelerate ball will be used for most LaLiga matches. The ball is designed to adapt to precise and fast action, and is a symbol of how the game accelerates the heart rate of the spectators. Accelerate is a traditional white ball featuring the LaLiga logo colours built into the design as well as custom acceleration graphics to show the explosive speed of the ball as it moves.

The Adrenalina ball, in a striking fluorine lemon colour, has been created for special occasions, for extraordinary moments. It will be used for the Derbies, El Clásico and other decisive matches during the 2020/21 season. The design of this ball features electrifying patterns that refer to the nerves of the human body to reflect the increased heart rate and adrenaline that the body produces both in players on the field and in fans in the stands and at home.

A cutting-edge design that incorporates the latest technologies developed by the brand. These balls are moulded with high frequency to guarantee perfect sphericity, which means excellent shape retention and less water absorption. Its unique 8-panel configuration reduces the number of seams, resulting in larger panels that allow for a better connection to the ball. A 1.2mm textural 3D PU surface has been integrated to improve aerodynamics, and increase resistance to abrasion and wear, resulting in greater durability. A newly developed POE foam is added that improves touch by increasing sensitivity, providing a firmer touch, improved rebound consistency and explosive power. Both colour combinations offer excellent visibility of trajectory and explosive speed.

Another reason to look forward to 12 September...
