Ready to be a thorn in the sides of opposition defences in France this summer, New Balance have equipped USA midfielder Rose Lavelle with an aptly designed bespoke special edition Rose Gold Tekela v1s boot for the World Cup.

Named in the USA squad for her first taste of World Cup action this summer, Rose Lavelle will take to the pitches in France in her own signature 'Rose Gold' Tekela v1s, courtesy of New Balance. The special edition Tekela v1 appropriately features a rose gold outsole and rose gold details, with the USA flag proudly emblazoned on the heal of the boot. The design appears to be a subtle tweak on the 'Otruska' Tekela that dropped for the men's World Cup last year, swapping out the chrome-red detailing for rose gold, providing Lavelle with a bespoke flavour for France.

The 24-year-old creative playmaker, who plays her club football for Washington Spirit in the NWSL, will step out in the 'Rose Gold' limited edition boots on 11 June, when the USA take on Thailand in their opening match of the tournament.

Speaking about the World Cup, Rose said: “I’m very excited to represent my country, and we will give everything to bring the trophy home with us. I can’t wait to wear my personalised Tekela boots in France during the tournament.

There's currently no word on a wider release for the New Balance 'Rose Gold' Tekela v1s. Shame.
