PUMA Unveil Palmeiras 2022 Away Shirt

Launching with a strong message at its heart, PUMA and Palmeiras unveil the club’s 2022 away shirt. The shirt combines the German brand’s “Forever Better” initiative with Palmeiras’ “For a Greener Future” project, both looking for solutions to bring positive impacts on society and the environment.

Arriving on the back of the new home shirt, PUMA and Palmeiras have now dropped the club’s new away shirt for the coming campaign. The jersey is constructed of raw yarn, using a PUMA process called “Bye Dye”, which reduces water consumption. The main colour of the jersey is the natural colour of yarn and on its front, the phrase “Por um futuro mais verde” (For a greener future) appears in a sublimated print.

Through its “Forever Better” campaign, PUMA makes a commitment to always improve and reduce the company’s impact on the environment, working together with partners for a better future. The initiative for more sustainable uniforms converges with Palmeiras’ “For a greener future” project, which seeks to consolidate the club as a responsible organisation that generates positive impacts on the environment.

Palmeiras president Leila Pereira explained: “Initiatives like this one reinforce our commitment to an increasingly green future. Today, we reaffirm our position to transcend our responsibility beyond what we are building in sports, strengthening the legacy we are leaving for the next generations.

PUMA Marketing Director Fabio Kadow backed this message up by saying: “Football has an incredible ability to highlight messages and campaigns, talking not only to its fans, but also to everyone who is part of this huge industry. Drawing on our partnership with the club, it is very important for PUMA to be able to bring a kit that aims to have a positive impact on the environment and our future, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability.
