PUMA Pay Homage to the Greats of the Game With King 'Royalty' Pack

PUMA pay homage to the greats of the game with their latest ‘Royalty’ pack drop, dressing the iconic King lifestyle silhouette in their greatest players’ national colours. Legendary King players Diego Maradona, Johan Cruyff and Pelé all get their unique heritage sketched onto each sneaker.

There is nothing like a bit of football heritage, and when you think of football there are a few players that come to mind. Maybe these days it’s Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar, but the days of Johan Cruyff, Diego Maradona and Pelé will never be forgotten – not on PUMA’s watch. The brand pay tribute to three of the greatest players to ever wear Kings and play the game with three new colourways for the lifestyle sneaker. The ‘Royalty’ pack represents the birthplace of all three greats with the traditional national colours, blending innovative designs with unforgettable heritage.

All three players were blessed to have been born in three of the most established countries for football – each national team seeing great success over the years. The Maradona-inspired sneaker arrives in the classic blue and white of Argentina, bringing a light spring feel to the shoe, whilst Pelé’s fashions the iconic Verde-Amarela of Brazil. The last colourway plays with the traditional orange of Cruyff’s home nation, Netherlands, with almost a burnt/spice orange colourway – sure to match with any fit.

Each colourway sees gold accents across the tongue adding an extra touch of premium to the shoe. Whilst suede is the chosen material for the upper, a gum-style takes over the sole to finish the look.
