Asbury Park Release Retro Kit and Training Top with Umbro

Your favourite team who have never kicked a ball though remain unbeaten. Introducing a rock and roll throw down that celebrates a mythical team of Asbury Park FC. Their stadium may not even exist but now, with the help of Umbro, their kit most certainly does. Embracing the iconic Pro Training collection, it's one this club have made their own with two special edition releases.

Like sweet poetry, the founding fathers of this club explain, "In 1993 APFC was a team in exile. With dwindling crowds and a decrepit home ground in Asbury Park, the club spent the season barnstorming Europe and playing friendlies against the best 3rd and 4th tier competition the continent had to offer. Like Chelsea. Today, the club commemorates those dark days in the most beautifully gauche way possible: the APFC x Umbro 1993 Jersey. Dressed with a striking black & white pattern and the club's highly coveted “Heritage“ badge, the APFC x Umbro 1993 Jersey is nearly identical to the one worn by club legend Lou Mowbray on the day of his hat-trick vs. Rotherham and the night of his ejection from the Stone Pony."

Any idea what they're on about? No, us neither.

Not just stopping up top though, the accompanying APFC x Umbro 1993 Shorts also pay homage to the period with what the squad are calling “plum smugglers” - perfect for the player unafraid to show some thigh, naturally. Accompanying the 1993 kit is the subtly simple APFC x Umbro Pro Training Jersey. A stark white affair with black accents, the 2017 APFC x Umbro Pro Training Jersey picks up where the 2016 Away kit left off.

Make up a team, get a brand involved, create a lookbook. Football manager just got real.
