Okazaki Debuts New Basara Colourway

Japanese no.9 Shinji Okazaki has given us our first look at the upcoming and third colourway in the Mizuno Basara series.

Japanese no.9 Shinji Okazaki has given us our first look at the upcoming and third colourway in the recently introduced Mizuno Basara series. The striker laced up in the officially titled “Neon Orange/Pansy” Basara 001 colourway for Japan’s international friendly match against Australia. The boots - expected to launch in January 2015 - will succeed the previous "Diva Blue/White" colourway and “Yellow/Black” launch boot. Okazaki has become Mizuno’s lead endorsee for the new silo, having worn the Basara since its introduction in July.

Some description

The Mizuno Basara introduced a completely new sole-plate from the Japanese brand, promoting aggressive contact with the pitch. The unique stud configuration ensures the foot always has maximum contact with the playing surface. ‘D-Flex’ grooves allow the boot to rotate with the foot, ensuring the studs enter the ground at the same angle as the foot for enhanced traction and reduced risk of injury.

Stay tuned for the official release of the new “Neon Orange/Pansy” Mizuno Basara football boots in January 2015. Let us know what you think of the colourway below.
