First Look At Next Gen Nike Phantom GX

Alexia Putellas offered us a closer look at the next generation of Nike Phantom GX this weekend, as she debuted the all-white prototype in Barcelona’s clash with Valencia. This follows on from our first look of the silo last week, as several players laced them up for a trial run on the training ground.

The next generation of Nike Phantom GX has been on display over the last week, debuting on the feet of João Neves and Kimpembe during PSG training sessions during the build up to their Champions League match vs Liverpool. We were then gifted with a closer look of the silo when Barcelona star Alexia Putellas laced up a pure white prototype for a Primera División game this weekend.

The Phantom silo is a boot designed for precision, crafted with Gripknit technology to give those 99 pass players that extra touch and control. It looks as though the Gripknit makes its return on the next gen, however, without the ‘eye of the storm’ pattern on the forefoot strike zone. From the looks of the soleplate, it seems that the cutting edge ‘360’ design features once again – designed to maximise acceleration when cutting and turning, whilst also reducing chance of injury.

Claudia Pina, of Barcelona, also gave us the first look at the Luna version of the silo, featuring the higher collar.
