adidas Celebrate Ellen White's 100th Cap With Customised Predator Freak

This week, Ellen White marked her 100th England cap. Not only that, she also broke the goalscoring record for her country, and to honour her achievements adidas have presented the Man City striker with a specially customised pair of adidas Predator Freak boots.

Been quite the week for Ellen White. First, she saw out her 100th cap for her country in the 1-0 win over Austria, scoring the only goal of that game, and then she went and bagged a hat trick against poor old Latvia in what was a 20-0 smashing. The first of that treble put her on level pegging with Kelly Smith on 45 goals for the Lionesses, before the 47th and 48th set her out on her own in the record books. To honour the achievements (the caps more, but the goals record is an added bonus…) Adidas have presented White with a specially customised pair of Predator Freaks.

The bespoke pair of boots have been decorated with a number of key features to celebrate White’s 100th appearance. Taking the ‘White Spark’ Predator Freak .1 as its base, the boot takes on a look that is more similar to the ‘Inflight Pack’ Predator Mutator, with black and gold elements added throughout. Those golden details, notable on the heel and through the Demonskin spikes, are a nod to the Gold Cap that she has received for her 100th appearance, while her trademark celebration appears on the back heel of the boot, remastered to reference her 100 appearances.

Her fan chant of ‘Ellen White White White’ is then printed along the side of the boot and her initials feature on the soleplate, along with the ‘C heart’ callout as a nod to her husband, something that appears on all of her boots.

Obviously not available for retail, having been meticulously created by hand, it's also unlikely that we'll see these on-pitch, though you never know...
