PUMA Launch The 2020 Eclipse Pack

It’s that time of year again when PUMA switch out the lights for the arrival of the Eclipse pack – a delicious double dose of darkness splashed across the ONE 5.1 and Future 5.1.

It’s a popular misconception that the phenomenon of a total eclipse of the sun is a rare occurrence. Quite the contrary. Approximately once every 18 months (on average) a total solar eclipse is visible from some place on the Earth's surface. Bet you didn’t think you were going to learn something when you clicked on this article, did you? Well there you go. And PUMA have somewhat followed suit with what is now an annual tradition of their own with the launch of this year’s Eclipse pack.

The first Eclipse pack dropped back in August 2018, and it was followed up fairly closely by the second Eclipse pack in February 2019. Now, almost exactly 12 months later to the day, PUMA wrap the current generations of ONE and Future in darkness for a third instalment of the Eclipse pack.

Unlike the 2019 variation, this year’s Eclipse pack goes almost completely black, abandoning any white trim, with only some silvery grey colouring shining through the designs of both the Future 5.1 and ONE 5.1.

The Eclipse pack aptly takes its place in the shadows, away from the bright lights of the big pitches where the brightly coloured ‘Spark Pack’ will continue to grace the feet of the pros. Yep, this one is far more understated and therefore will hold far more appeal to the grassroots proponents game.
