Closer Look: adidas 'Laceless' Boot

After announcing their leap into laceless technology with the unveiling of the currently dubbed adidas 'Laceless' boot we take a closer look at the latest breakthrough product from the adidas innovation team.

Raising the innovation benchmark, adidas have lifted the lid on their new laceless ACE silhouette that's coming in 2016. The boot is stripped back to its purest form, reducing it to the basic necessities of a boot. The laceless design replaces the usual eyelets and shoelaces found on a traditional football boot.

A Primeknit upper with a textured overlay, similar to the current ACE15+ and X15+ Primeknit, makes up the upper, while a ribbed material flows from the newly modified collar down to the throat line of the boot. Three bold stripes with constructural support in between dominate the lateral side, while under the hood it's a familiar looking external heel counter and sprintframe outsole that completes the construction of the boot.

Some description

Kicking their boot game into overdrive, adidas are showing no let-up in their mission to disrupt and re-write the rule book. After a year of unprecedented change within the three striped camp, 2016 will be another year of groundbreaking design spearheaded by laceless technology. Unique in so many aspects, it's another strong statement of intent from the adidas team. Find out more on the adidas 'Laceless' boot here.
