TSG Hoffenheim’s 26/27 Home & Away Kits From Macron Combine Tradition and Innovation

New partnerships in football often arrive with plenty of fanfare, but Macron and TSG Hoffenheim have kicked off their relationship in the best possible way: with a pair of shirts that feel genuinely connected to the club’s identity while still looking firmly towards the future.

For the 2026/27 season, Hoffenheim’s new home shirt refreshes the club’s classic blue-and-white look rather than reinventing it. At first glance, it’s clean and familiar, with a vibrant blue body contrasted by white raglan sleeves and shoulders. But the real story sits within the details. Running vertically through the fabric is an embossed pattern inspired by the stag antlers taken from Hoffenheim’s historic coat of arms – a symbol that has become central to the club’s modern visual identity.

It’s a culturally clever move. Rather than treating heritage as a retro graphic to be pasted onto a shirt, Macron has woven it directly into the design language. The antlers become texture, pattern and storytelling all at once, connecting the Bundesliga side to its village roots while presenting that history through a contemporary lens. It’s exactly the sort of balance between tradition and innovation that the best modern football kits aim to achieve.

The away shirt takes a different route but follows the same philosophy. Swapping blue for an elegant off-white base, the design draws inspiration from the Kraichgau region, often referred to as the “Badische Toskana” or Tuscany of Baden. There’s a lifestyle feel to the jersey, with subtle ivory tones and abstract brushstroke graphics creating a softer, more fashion-led aesthetic.

Importantly for the partnership, the innovation isn’t limited to aesthetics. Macron has introduced its Eco 3D Knit – Matrix fabric, a new jacquard material engineered to deliver enhanced durability, elasticity and a distinctive textured finish. It gives the shirt a premium feel while supporting performance requirements at the highest level.

Across both kits, sustainability remains a core part of the story, with each jersey produced using Eco Fabric made from 100% post-consumer recycled polyester.

Taken together, Hoffenheim’s new home and away shirts provide an impressive first statement from Macron. Rooted in local history, inspired by regional culture and elevated through modern fabric technology, they prove that football design can honour tradition without ever standing still.
