Macron Pull Back the Curtain on Kit Design With New “Unveilievable” Campaign

From Bologna once again, Macron are continuing to carve out a lane entirely of their own. Following on from last year's The Shape Of Beauty campaign, which brought together a collective of club shirts in a statement of intent, the Italian brand's latest project, Unveilievable, doubles down on the idea that football kits deserve to be admired.

Let's be honest: most kit launches follow a familiar script. A few lifestyle shots, a slick video, a social media rollout, and onto the next one. Macron have been steadily pushing away from that formula for a while now. Rather than treating each shirt as an isolated release, they're increasingly presenting their work through broader creative narratives, putting design, storytelling and identity front and centre. That's exactly what's happening with Unveilievable.

Built around the simple act of revelation, the campaign sees 19 of Macron's standout designs for the 2026/27 season initially hidden beneath a veil before gradually being revealed in a series of striking visuals. The title itself is a neat piece of wordplay, combining "unveil" and "unbelievable" to capture that moment of discovery when the details finally come into view. And details are definitely the point here.

For a brand that's building a reputation for avoiding templates and instead embracing bespoke design, Unveilievable feels like a justified move. While bigger sportswear giants often rely on scalable design systems across vast club portfolios, Macron continue to champion individuality, creating unique visual identities for each partner club. It's an approach that has become one of the brand's defining characteristics and one that's increasingly resonating with football culture.

The shirts selected for the campaign showcase exactly that. From Wrexham and Crystal Palace to Bologna, Sampdoria, FC Basel, Osasuna and Hoffenheim, the collection spans different leagues, histories and fan cultures, yet every shirt feels distinctly tied to the club it represents. Rather than blending together, they stand apart.

That philosophy has become central to Macron's evolution over recent years. As we saw with The Shape Of Beauty, the brand isn't interested in simply making football shirts. They're interested in presenting them as design objects, worthy of attention beyond the ninety minutes they were created for.

This time around, the conversation extends beyond football entirely through a collaboration with Bologna-based artist Alessandro Benfenati. During the campaign shoot, Benfenati created a live visual poetry artwork centred around threads, textures and connections, transforming fabric into a metaphor for the relationships between clubs, communities and supporters. It's another layer that reinforces the project's core message: these shirts are about culture as much as sport.

The campaign also serves as a reminder of just how expansive Macron's reach has become. With over 100 clubs and federations across multiple sports, the brand has quietly established itself as one of the most influential forces in technical sponsorship. Yet despite that growth, it continues to lean heavily into the idea of bespoke creation rather than mass replication.

That's what makes campaigns such as Unveilievable so effective. They're not about shouting the loudest and they're not chasing viral moments. It feels more authentic than that. They're confidently placing the work itself at the centre of the conversation. Some might say its blowing their own trumpet, but why not be proud of what you're doing, especially when it looks this good.

The fact is, Macron's approach feels refreshingly different. Where others don't dare to tread, Macron bravely venture, setting a precedent in jersey culture. And with Unveilievable, they've once again found a way to remind us that the best kit design should absolutely be admired.
