Corinthians may have played their first few games of the new Brasileiro Série A season in last year's kits, but as Nike launch their 2018/19 jerseys it's pretty clear that the new away strip was well worth waiting for.
The clean white home shirt was debuted in last night's 2-1 Copa Libertadores defeat to Argentina's Independiente, but it's all about that marble effect black/dark grey away kit isn't it? A graphic design that's new to Nike replica and one we wouldn't be mad seeing across other clubs for the new 18/19 European season.
The 2018/19 club shirts pay tribute to Corinthian Democracy and legendary midfielder Sócrates as explained by Luís Paulo Rosenberg, Marketing Director of Corinthians: "Corinthian Democracy was a period in which athletes showed, on and off the field, the true DNA of the club: a nation that preaches, above all, passion, unity and collectivity."
The all white home strip features a smart one-buttoned collar, while the inside neck reads the words "Eu sou Corinthians" which translates to "I am Corinthians". The away shirt inside collar features the slogan "Não para de lunar" – "Never stop fighting".
