A brick not yet laid but the ground very much broken. LAFC marked the beginning of the next chapter in their youthful existence yesterday as they gathered fans and stakeholders to celebrate what will be the 'Banc of California Stadium'.
A groundbreaking ceremony that saw Magic Johnson and Will Farrell both board a digger and carve their way into the history books of this club, there was passionate scenes all over. Already there are crowds of fans signing up to support this club; a club who have yet to kick a ball. It's quite the showing that goes to demonstrate the steam roller that keeps coasting onto cool places.
This ceremony didn't just give those at the club a chance to don heavy hitting hard-hats but also meant the construction of the blueprinted 22,000 football dedicated stadium can begin. A tangible sign of things happening, it's all becoming very real for LAFC. There's going to be so much room for activities.
