Photography that is truly captivating, Marin Merino documents the national football tournament for prisoners in Peru.

An outstanding body of work, these pictures present what was dubbed the 'Mara-Cana Championship' in 2014. A year on, we take a look behind closed doors of the Miguel Castro Castro maximum security prison in Lima as twelve teams, made up of prisoners selected from a pool of 3,000. These images show the final game of the tournament.

Some description

Each team took on the name of one of the teams participating in last year's World Cup in Brazil. It was the teams representing Spain and Ecuador that made it to the final - Spain the eventual victors.
