adidas Launch The 2019 Women's World Cup Ball

This summer will see women’s football taking centre stage as the competition for the greatest prize in the international game is played out once again. And with 100 days to go until the tournament starts, adidas have announced the Conext 19 as the Official Match Ball of the France 2019 Women’s World Cup.

The Conext 19 ball is nothing new in itself, having debuted at the FIFA Club World Cup last year as well as being announced as the OMB of the European Qualifiers. It shares the same seamless, mono-panel design as the 2018 World Cup Official Match Ball, the Telstar 18, but with a glitched graphic that’s inspired by the Tricolore ball that France fired home on their way to the world title in ’98 – that's the blue graphic on the coloured panels.

You can’t argue that the visual design is striking, evoking images of the Earth as pictured from satellites, and the Conext 19 now comes complete with the official logo from the 2019 Women’s World Cup. The ball will be kicked in anger for the first time when the tournament begins in Paris on June 7, and it'll be used all the way through to the final on July 7 in Lyon.

The adidas Conext 19 Women's World Cup ball will be available to buy in the near future. In the meantime you can pick up the regular Conext 19 at
