PUMA Kicks Off the New Season with the Arrival Pack

Ready for a fresh start to the season, PUMA has unveiled the Arrival Pack, headlined by the debut of the all-new ULTRA NITRO 7 and backed up by slick new colour updates for both the FUTURE 9 and KING.

Leading the charge for the PUMA 'Arrival Pack' is the new ULTRA NITRO 7, presented in a bold and unapologetic "Ultra Red/PUMA Black/PUMA White" colourway. It's loud, it's aggressive, and it's clearly designed to grab attention. And yes, if you're looking at it and thinking it bears a passing resemblance to a certain Nike Phantom, you're probably not alone. But honestly? We're willing to let that slide. But the Arrival name? That's for the NITRO technology.

After revolutionising PUMA's running range over the last five years, NITRO technology finally makes its proper move onto the football pitch. While we've already seen glimpses of it in last year's KING and a limited-edition ULTRA release, the ULTRA NITRO 7 marks the first full-scale introduction of the technology into the brand's speed silo.

At the heart of the boot sits NITROFOAM™ ELITE, integrated into the sockliner and footbed. Designed to compress and rebound with every stride, it provides responsive cushioning and energy return, helping players stay explosive from the first whistle to the last. It's a technology that's built its reputation in running, and now PUMA is betting big on its ability to enhance acceleration and comfort in football.

The rest of the package is just as impressive. Weighing in at only 180g, the ULTRA NITRO 7 remains firmly focused on speed. The updated ULTRAWEAVE upper delivers lightweight support without sacrificing touch, offering a close and precise feel on the ball. PUMA has also reworked the fit through a redesigned last and an updated SPEEDBELT support frame, aiming to provide a more secure lockdown during high-speed movements and sharp direction changes.

Underfoot, the new SPEEDSYSTEM 2.0 outsole has been engineered to transform every movement into forward momentum. Lightweight, responsive and aggressively traction-focused, it's designed to help players maximise every sprint, turn and burst of acceleration. Taken together, the package makes a strong case for the ULTRA NITRO 7 being the most complete speed boot PUMA has produced to date.

Another first for the silo arrives with the introduction of a laceless ULTRA option, marking the first time the speed boot has been offered without laces. For players who prefer a cleaner strike zone and a more streamlined fit, it's a welcome addition to the lineup.

While the ULTRA understandably dominates the conversation, the FUTURE 9 and KING haven't been left out. Both receive tasteful colour refreshes that tie the collection together while allowing the flagship speed boot to remain centre stage.

The FUTURE 9 arrives in a classy "Sugared Almond/PUMA White/Ultra Red/PUMA Black" colourway. An off-white base is paired with subtle woven patterns across the upper, while vibrant red-orange PWRTAPE elements inject just the right amount of energy into the design. It's a clever balance of understated and eye-catching.

Meanwhile, the KING takes a similar approach with its "Sugared Almond/PUMA Black/Ultra Red" finish. There's a stronger presence of the red and black accents here, particularly around the Formstrip branding, giving the boot a slightly bolder identity while maintaining the premium, refined aesthetic the KING has become known for.

All told, the Arrival Pack does exactly what its name suggests. It announces the arrival of a new era for PUMA Football, led by the introduction of NITRO technology in the ULTRA 7 and supported by two beautifully executed updates to the FUTURE and KING. Whether NITRO proves to be a genuine game-changer on the pitch remains to be seen, but it's a solid move from PUMA and no mistake.
