Bay FC have just dropped their highly anticipated primary kit for their sophomore season in the NWSL, and it’s an absolute statement. Designed in collaboration with Nike, the obsidian kit embodies the club’s deep connection to the Bay Area—an aesthetic as bold as the city it represents.
Last year saw Nike revealing the new kits for all 14 teams in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) in one hit. In amongst that drop was Bay FC's inaugural kits – two pretty basic designs to get things started. But where that was a safe start to life with a distinct lack of adventure, for their second season, Bay FC have got involved with the design. And so the 2025 primary kit design arrives as a tribute to the nine counties that define the Bay Area, celebrating the cultures, histories, and communities that make the region unique.
The kit’s foundation is a rich obsidian hue, a nod to the resilience and unwavering spirit of the region. Complementing this powerful base are vibrant poppy accents, injecting a fierce energy into the design. But it’s the finer details that truly bring this jersey to life. Nine alternating stripes—each subtly varied in colour and texture—flow across the fabric, a visual representation of the Bay Area’s dynamic landscape. From the ever-present fog to the steadfast waters of the Pacific, every element tells a story of unity and diversity.
“These kits are meant to capture the essence of the Bay Area and are created to represent the nine counties we are so proud to play for,” said Bay FC CEO Brady Stewart. “Coming off one of the most successful expansion seasons in league history and becoming the winningest expansion team, we know fans will be excited to wear these new kits with pride and a sense of togetherness.”
Fans can sign up here to be notified when Bay FC kits become available in late February. This is the first of two kits for Bay FC’s 2025 campaign with the secondary kit to be released at a later date.
