Orlando City SC Unveil 2024-25 Legacy Kit From adidas

Celebrating their 10th anniversary in MLS, Orlando City SC have unveiled the ‘Legacy Kit’, which will be in use for the 2024 & 25 seasons. The secondary jersey draws inspiration from a time before they were an MLS outfit, nodding to the alternate choice of red kits at that time.

Back before Orlando City had reached the heights of being recognised as an MLS franchise they were a force to be reckoned with in the USL. At that time, due to extenuating circumstances, they were forced to choose an alternate colour from the club’s signature purple, and so Orlando City’s famed Red Kit was born, which has gone on to reach cult status mostly thanks to the achievements and milestones it represents in club history. Now, with Orlando City SC reaching 10 years in MLS, ‘The Legacy Kit’ nods to that kit.

As well as the reintroduction of red as an accent colour, for the first time, the body of this new kit takes on a new look, with lavender as the primary colour. The Three Stripes on the shoulders are featured in Glory Red on the shoulders, with purple and gold complements on the henley collar, sleeve piping and ribbing. At the bottom of the kit, the jock tag features a purple and gold X – the Roman Numeral for 10 – a nod to the Club’s 10th season in MLS and a play off the commemorative logo unveiled earlier in the year.

Additionally, the Club worked with both MLS and adidas to modernise the iconic Three Lions crest that was the team’s logo from 2011-14, emblazoned with metallic gold filigree and a bolder look on the trifecta of lions.

"We are so proud to introduce a kit that we know our fans will love, one that pays tribute to everyone that has supported and led us to reach our 10th season in MLS. The Legacy Kit is designed to recognize just that – the path that has led us here today and the legacy of our early days as a professional soccer franchise in the City Beautiful,” said Orlando City Chief Marketing Officer Pedro Araujo. “This kit is a thank you to the players, supporters, staff, partners and community members for which Orlando City would not exist without. We hope our fans enjoy and appreciate the details found throughout this jersey, and we can’t wait to continue celebrating our 10th season in MLS with many more surprises throughout the year.
