FC St Pauli Reveal & Debut 23/24 Home Shirt

Ahead of the last game of the season against Karlsruhe, 2.Bundesliga side FC St. Pauli unveiled their new home shirt for 23/24, which they debuted in the 1-1 draw.

In what is now the third Di!Y season, where the club produce their kits “in house”, FC St. Pauli take design inspiration from the large archway of the Hammaburg and the red-brown walls typical of Hamburg, which have characterised the appearance of the south stand of the Millerntor Stadium for their new home shirt for 23/24. For the first time, a slightly red colour gradient, reminiscent of bricks, has been worked into the otherwise mostly brown chest of the jerseys, providing the design with a unique look. In addition, the front and back of the jerseys are framed by white piping, which picks up the Hammaburg archway from the FC St. Pauli club crest.

Based in Hamburg, FC St. Pauli continues to be known for its unique identity and values. The Hamburg-based club has a strong fan culture that emphasises inclusivity, anti-racism, and anti-fascism. They support various social and political causes and have a reputation for being a club for the people rather than just a professional team. In addition, their iconic skull and crossbones logo is recognised worldwide as a symbol of rebellion and non-conformity. As part of this identity, the club make their own kits, a practice that started in 2021. As part of their values, the jerseys have the highest sustainability standards, such as fair production in Europe, which uses 100 percent recycled fibres, but still have all the performance characteristics of a modern football jersey: light, tear-resistant and best moisture transport for quick drying.
