Nike Launch New Liverpool 2023 Training & Prematch Range

While Liverpool continue to try to find the formula to salvage their season, Nike have provided them with a fresh look on the training field, with a new range that includes a prematch top that nods to a cult classic from the club’s past.

Probably wouldn’t find many Liverpool fans that would disagree if we said that their season isn’t quite panning out the way they would’ve hoped. While most would’ve been looking forward to a fresh start in the new year following the World Cup, that too hasn’t quite happened. So now it comes down to a final push to save the season and secure top 4. And so a new training and prematch range from Nike will hopefully signal a new intent.

The official colourway of the new training and prematch apparel refresh is “White/Smoke Grey/Tough Red” and it sees the subtle grey tones on white with red accents throughout. It’s been in use by the reds for the past few days, and it features the usual array of drill tops, tees, shirts, shorts and tracky trousers.

And the training range is also joined by a new prematch tee, which will likely get its debut this weekend, ahead of Liverpool's away match against Wolves – those hoping for an appearance for the recently revealed Lebron James collab shirt may well have to wait.

As it is though, this new prematch shirt is a striking design that carries on the grey theme of the training range to create a look that conjures images of the iconic away shirt of the early 90s. That shirt was produced by adidas and has been homaged in the past, notably with the 08/09 away (again from adidas) and 18/19 third shirts (that one was New Balance). Here though, a repeating graphic of stylised 'LFC' gives the shirt a texture that's reminiscent of the original.
