There is something unique about winning a league title and then watching it unfold through shaky phone footage.
Instagram stories, players filming players, and half-lit scenes from the edges of the night, Arsenal, Premier League champions for the first time in 22 years, celebrated and documented the occasion simultaneously.
By the early hours of Wednesday morning, the best content was already coming from inside the group chat. Eberechi Eze posted pictures outside the Emirates Stadium alongside Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber, the four of them stood in the strange 5am light of north London.
Timber shared footage from the training ground, where Saka stood beside a blacked-out Premier League trophy, designed to light up once Arsenal had finally got over the line.
Elsewhere, Myles Lewis-Skelly turned the old “bottlers” line back on itself while holding a champagne bottle, Eze posted an Arsenal-branded bottle of his own, Martin Ødegaard joined in, and Rice marked the moment with a simple message that said what every Arsenal fan had been waiting years to hear: it was done.
At the same time, fans had gathered around the Emirates and in nearby pubs as Manchester City played Bournemouth, waiting for the result that would make it official. And when it came, the noise felt like a release: 22 years, three recent near-misses, and one long wait finally over.
Below, we’ve rounded up the best POV content from the celebrations. Enjoy.
