Bakary Sako Shows Off His Customised Boot Collection

Bakary Sako is the undisputed king of custom football boots in the Premier League. The Crystal Palace midfielder has worn an array of outrageous designs since his arrival in England in 2012, and he's been showing off his extensive collection of custom and limited edition designs this week.

Sako has recently been in fine goalscoring form wearing his custom "Gold/Black" Mercurial Superfly IV boots with goals against Leicester, Brighton and Burnley. His eye-catching designs have caught the eye of Palace's in-house TV channel, leading to Sako rounding up and talking viewers through his full Nike collection.

Showcasing everything from his custom Manga pack, designed by artist Pierre Navarro, to his limited edition stock, Sako is joined by Palace teammates Damien Delaney and Patrick van Aanholt who are keen to share their thoughts on his eccentric designs.

The man behind the design of Sako's Dragon Ball Z and Street Fighter artwork is Paris-based artist Pierre Navarro, aka Orravan Designs. Pierre skilfully created a collection of bespoke cartoon-based designs for the Crystal Palace midfielder, titled the "MANGA Collection" and Sako wore the first 100% hand-painted design against Southampton at Selhurst Park earlier this season. Pierre was also the man responsible for Sako's 2014 Mercurial design covered in Swarovski crystals to mark his 100th game for previous club, Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Keep us guessing Bakary. Top work. Take a closer look at Sako's MANGA Collection here.
