Nike Drop The Air Huarache 'Liverpool' Sneaker

Nike roll out their special sneaker treatment for the Reds with the Air Huarache ‘Liverpool’ edition, which features a design that takes influence from the famous Kop stand at Anfield. With their official launch, we now get to have a closer look at them in their natural habitat...

As they already have done with this season’s and last season’s third shirts, Nike once again pay homage to The Kop, Liverpool’s iconic supporter's section inside of Anfield, and the fans that fill it, but this time its done through some sneaker style. Inspired by the chequered banners on the Kop, the Liverpool FC Nike Air Huarache features interchangeable patches for a special finishing touch and arrive with a custom LFC box. Having already had a first look at them last week, with the official launch we now get a closer look at them in and around the stand that inspired their design.

So delving a little deeper into the construction, what we get is a design centred around a mix of Liverpool’s traditional colours of white, red, yellow and black. The aforementioned white and red checkboard flashes through the heel, stretching through to the tongue area, while it’s backed by a solid red neoprene. The base is accented by off white coloured overlays, white neoprene segments and yellow ribbing down the middle of the tongues. Branding comes in the form of those removable velcro tongue badges and “NIKE” and “YNWA” heel tags, along with co-branded printed insoles. Finishing up the design of the shoes are black TPU elements, white midsoles and black rubber outsoles.
