Atlanta United have dropped a beautiful homage to Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, releasing a special edition scarf that bridges the club’s identity with cultural storytelling — all through the hands of one of Atlanta’s own: Sanithna Phansavanh.
Phansavanh, a multidisciplinary artist whose work stretches from the gallery walls of the High Museum of Art to the concrete canvases of the Atlanta BeltLine, has delivered a piece that feels both deeply personal and proudly communal. The scarf, designed exclusively for this heritage celebration, is a tale told in textile — a rich blend of tradition, mythology, and local pride.
At first glance, it’s the colours that hit you — a bold two-tone scheme of red and yellow. Flip it over and the palette inverts, red giving way to yellow and vice versa, a visual duality that mirrors the fusion of cultures the scarf represents. One side carries the familiar ‘Atlanta United’ wordmark, set against a fierce red backdrop.
