Over The Pitch Link Up With Incheon United For a 2005-Inspired Collection

South Korean creative studio Over The Pitch have linked up with Incheon United to drop a new lifestyle collection commemorating the 20-year anniversary of their iconic 2005 season. Looking back on that underdog run, the capsule reimagines the jersey and aesthetics from that era which still stands as the highlight of the club’s past glory.

Taking it back to 2005, newly founded Incheon United do the impossible and reach the Championship final of the K league, finishing runner’s up in only their second season. An unprecedented run that lives on in all Incheon fan memories. It became so iconic that a documentary (Fly Up) was later made, highlighting the success of the team, closely followed by a film – Visang. The club have teamed up with South Korean creative studio, Over The Pitch, to pay tribute to this iconic season with a lifestyle collection that embraces early 00’s aesthetics.

With Over the Pitch making serious moves in recent years, featuring collabs with Liverpool, Umbro and Coca-Cola, it is no surprise to see them once again dip a toe into the football waters with another ground-breaking collection.

Consisting of seven exclusive pieces, the collection uses retro silhouettes blended with Incheon personality to bring back a timeless look. Reinterpreting the jersey worn during the ’05 season, each piece sticks to the theme of Incheon signature blue and black whilst adding fragments of Over The pitch DNA, designed to look clean on the pitch or in the streets.

Embroidered onto each piece is the Incheon club crest, placed alongside the signature Over The Pitch ‘P’ logo. On the most prominent piece of the collection, the reimagined jerseys, the sponsor is replaced by bespoke Incheon UTD branding – featuring ‘20’ as to pay homage to 20 years since their legendary season. Other pieces include a relaxed windbreaker, full tracksuit and woven MTM, which all revive those noughties street football vibes. A timeless collection to commemorate a timeless season.

The collection will be available from 17 April at overthepitch.com
