Delving back into the archives for another blast from the past, adidas Originals and Arsenal reveal a limited-edition collection, celebrating the greatest hits of the shared history between the brand and the football club during its first partnership between 1986 and 1994.

Following the success of the first retro-infused collection, which centred around the iconic ‘Bruised Banana’ jersey from the 91/93 season, the latest collection picks out another classic to be built around, and this time it’s the 93/94 away shirt. Complete with those big-and-bold EQT stripes that dominate the design, it’s a faithful recreation that includes the ‘JVC’ sponsor logo. Joining that hero piece, which is available in both short and long sleeve, is a sweater, t-shirt, zipped jacket, drill top and track pants.

The collection will be worn by the Arsenal women’s and men’s team in the build up to four fixtures between 9 – 15 December including the Arsenal Women’s UWCL match v Barcelona on 9 December, where the team will walk out wearing the zipped jacket.

Former Arsenal star, Ian Wright, who also features in the campaign, said: “I have amazing memories of playing in the adidas EQT jersey during the 93/94 season, and it’s great to celebrate that era with such a full and proper collection.

“The range has got all the classics and we had a good time on set playing our different roles. I even had to remind some of first team lads and women that we won the Cup Winners Cup that season so now that this is back, we have to win something!”
