Framed #76 | Chivas Guadalajara vs Club America

Travelling to Mexico for the most monstrous of derby days we took on El Súper Clásico as Chivas Guadalajara hosted Club América in a fierce battle of pride and passion. An electric atmosphere of high-tempered pace, with mandatory riot police, tattoos, and uncontrollable raw emotion.

Everything about Latin American football is more intense, more furious, and more dramatic than the rest of the world. Your Derby Day might mean an extra pint in the pub before kick off. Derby Day in Guadalajara means turning up to the stadium five hours before kick off with a Sousaphone and a goat.

We went from the streets to the seats with PUMA Football to capture the scenes as two Mexican heavyweights locked horns. Ninety minutes of immense confidence over tension, but 24 hours of frantic footballing festival. An emotional pull on the senses, the Liga MX delivered in the strongest of styles. With emotions running high a 1-1 saw the local riot police as undoubted winners with both sets of fans streaming into the streets somewhat satisfied.
