Framed #39 | France v Sweden

81,000 fans packed into a home of football that towers high, Paris is our destination, World Cup qualification is our journey and France v Sweden is our fixture. A close fought encounter in a cauldron of fierce support.

No Zlatan but still plenty of faces that stand out in the crowd both on and off the pitch. This was a fixture that saw France take an early sense of ownership over their World Cup Qualifying group with a 2-1 win. Though it wasn't plain sailing. A stunned crowd were given a shock thanks to a free-kick from Emil Forsberg. Providing fuel for the fire however, it was a peg back that helped the French giants take two more steps forward.

After a somewhat lackluster first half from the French side, it was all change come the second half as Les Bleus picked up the proceedings with two headline goals. Saved by a double act of Pogba and Payet, it'll be a sigh of relief over a sense of victory. Patrice Evra was also back in the mix offering a sturdy sense of experience.
