Looks like there’s another special edition Nike Tiempo on the way, with Jamal Musiala spotted training in a luxurious burgundy take on the iconic silo.
Since its debut back in September 2023, the Nike Tiempo Legend X has enjoyed several special editions, such as the ‘Golden Touch’ edition from August last year, and more recently the ‘Pearl’ and ‘Emerald’ editions, which dropped earlier this year. Well, it looks as if the Swoosh are set to drop another in that line, with Jamal Musiala showing off a beautiful burgundy colourway in a recent Bayern training session.
The look instantly brings to mind Andrea Pirlo’s signature Tiempo Legend 6, which originally came out in 2016. That boot was inspired by the Italian maestro’s love of fine wines, and featured a premium Alegria leather in a merlot colourway inspired by the juice of the grape. Whether or not this one is in anyway an homage to that remains to be seen, but it certainly has a very similar feel, with that deep burgundy giving off a real luxurious vibe.
It was only a sneak peek of the boot, but it allowed us to see that the base colour is all that wine-inspired hue, while the Swoosh branding stands out in a brighter crimson flash in its regular position riding down the lateral sides of the boots. The soleplate also looks like it has a premium chrome finish about it, which would make sense given the likely standing as a limited special edition release.
Will Musiala be wearing these in Bayern’s UCL match against Feyenoord tomorrow night? Time will tell, but he’s clearly gearing up to give them a run out at some point soon.
Eyes out for the latest special edition Nike Tiempo, which is expected to drop within the next week.
