Kids Of Immigrants are taking their first real steps onto the pitch, teaming up with Nike once again to deliver a fresh take on the Tiempo Maestro. Following a string of lifestyle-focused projects together, this latest release marks new territory for the LA-based label, bringing its distinctive storytelling to performance football footwear for the very first time.

If you're not already familiar with Kids Of Immigrants, now's probably the time. Founded by Daniel Buezo and Weleh Dennis, the brand has built a reputation for celebrating heritage, community and cultural identity through clothing and creative projects. Their last collaboration with Nike arrived ahead of the World Cup, reworking the iconic Total 90 into one of the most talked-about drops of the year. This time, however, they're swapping the streets for the stadium.

At the heart of the collaboration is the idea of football as a universal language. Nike and Kids Of Immigrants continue their shared mission of bringing people together through the game, using the Tiempo Maestro as a canvas to connect cultures and generations that might otherwise be separated by continents.

That message is woven directly into the design. The boot takes inspiration from the mountainous landscapes of Honduras and Liberia, the respective homelands of founders Daniel Buezo and Weleh Dennis. Although thousands of miles apart, the two locations are united here through football, with the Tiempo serving as a symbol of connection, identity and shared experience.

Visually, this is one of the most striking Tiempo colourways we've seen in a while. The upper arrives dressed in a warm "Sundial" gradient, fading from vibrant yellow through rich orange tones towards the heel. Contrasting against that bright backdrop is a deep navy quarter panel, decorated with subtle topographic-style graphics that reference the landscapes behind the design story. A glossy crimson Swoosh cuts through the sidewall, while flashes of green branding on the underside – a twist on Nike's classic slogan – adds another hit of colour.

While we're on the underside, there's that soleplate. An iridescent finish shifts between blue, purple and green depending on the light, delivering a bold contrast to the warmer tones above. It's the kind of detail that feels right at home on a collaboration like this, eye-catching without distracting from the story behind it. A fitting flourish if ever there was one.

The release also represents a significant milestone for both partners. Having previously collaborated across the Air Max Sunder, the T90 and Nike's Toma el Juego initiatives, this marks the first time Nike and Kids Of Immigrants have brought their partnership into the world of elite-level performance football footwear. For a brand built on storytelling and cultural connection, stepping onto the pitch feels like the natural next chapter. And if this Tiempo Maestro is anything to go by, we'll definitely take more!
