Nike throw a golden afterparty of Swooshed up swag for Cristiano Ronaldo as he picks up his fifth Ballon d'Or award. The CR7 power-brand serves up fresh signature style as Nike launch 1,000 pairs of Mercurial Superfly CR7 'Quinto Triunfo' boots to commemorate the Real Madrid man's latest monumental achievement.

Say what you want about Cristiano Ronaldo, but he's undeniably one of the greatest footballing specimen this planet has ever seen. Yeah, he ain't as young as he once was, and yeah, this may be his last Ballon d'Or success... although haven't we all said that before? Many have tried to keep up with him, even time itself, but CR7 powered through 2017 doing what he does best – smashing records, scoring goals, and polishing trophies.


To complement that most heralded individual prize in football Nike have created another special edition Mercurial for the most distinguished of signature boot collections. The latest Ballon d'Or victory comes just two months after Ronaldo picked up the FIFA Best Player Award and the Nike Mercurial Superfly CR7 'Melhor', Portuguese for Ronaldo's footballing hero Neil Mellor, of course.

The CR7 logo is repositioned from the instep of the boot to the heel, where it's joined by the words ''Quinto Triunfo' (Fifth Triumph) and the respective number of the limited edition boot, from 1-1000.


The latest award in football's biggest individual trophy haul. Golden recognition for a player that has achieved unimaginable success, winning all there is to win. A World Cup wouldn't go a miss next summer, mind. Ronaldo will wear one of the 1,000 pairs when Real Madrid compete in the Club World Cup this month.
