Throwback | Valsport 1992 Massaro Vite

Continuing our new throwback series where we focus on some real classic boots from generations past we move onto the our next boot - The Valsport 1992 Massaro Vite. Released in 1992 and worn by AC Milan's Italian forward Daniele Massaro.

Italian manufacturer Valsport were founded in 1920, in a world before Swooshes and Stripes, and remain one of the original footballing brands. Formed by the Valle family based in Padua, Italy, Valsport have a reputation for producing high quality leather boots and gained huge popularity in the 80's, 90's and 00's before their player pool, which included Juan Pablo Angel and Chris Sutton, thinned out.

Some description

The boot featured in our throwback series is the Massaro Vite, a simple looking studded black boot released as a signature line for AC Milan striker Daniele Massaro. Massaro scored 51 goals for Milan, with the majority of those, including 2 in the 1994 4-0 Champions League final victory over Barcelona, hitting the back of net when he was an official Valsport ambassador. It's all about that majestically retro gold medallion he's wearing in the card that accompanies the boots though, early 90's Italian football at its finest.

Who had a pair of these then? Shoutout to classicfootballshirts.com for the hook-up.
