Nike GS II ACC Football Boots - Black/White

Low impact on the planet. Maximum destruction on the pitch. The GS2 is Nike's lightest, greenest boot ever. Constructed with recycled materials, built with ACC tech and armed with a bio-based traction plate made for strength and flexibility on-pitch. The Nike GS has returned once again in very limited numbers, but in deadly form with a new squad of wearers...

Nike has unveiled the second generation of its Nike GS boot - Nike GS2. Featuring All Conditions Control (ACC) for enhanced ball control in both wet and dry conditions, the GS2 will be worn by some of Europe s best young players including Theo Walcott, Eden Hazard, Raheem Sterling, Mario Goetze, Christian Eriksen and El Shaarawy.

The new boot features a classic black and white upper that is contrasted with bold All Conditions Control (ACC) insignia with a safari print found on some of Nike s most iconic shoes.

The Nike GS 2 football boots are constructed using renewable and recycled materials, designed for explosive performance on the pitch and lower impact on the planet. Every component has been optimized to reduce weight and waste, creating Nike s lightest football boot ever at 160 grams.

Conceived and engineered in Italy, the Nike GS 2 soccer cleats features recycled and renewable materials throughout the upper and plate design. A bio-based traction plate made primarily from castor beans ensures strength and flexibility on pitch, alongside a sock liner made from 100% castor beans. The boot laces, lining and tongue are made from a minimum of 70% recycled materials. The toeboard and collar, feature at least 15% recycled materials.

Nike GS 2 traction plate combines a high performance chassis with a strong responsive and agile form. The sole plate is made of 50% renewable Pebax® Rnew (a plant derived material made with 97% castor beans) and 50% TPU, made from renewable materials. The plate is 15% lighter than a traditional plate composition.

The traction plate includes a minimalist diamond-silhouette spine, which provides optimal flex and agility in plate performance. Whilst anatomically positioned studs maximize speed in multiple directions to ensure responsive and assured movement on pitch.

A solvent-free Kanga-Lite synthetic upper provides zonal reinforcement for exceptional touch and control. The synthetic upper also supports lockdown on midfoot and arch area. A special treatment during the development of the Kanga-Lite delivers an optimal touch and feel of the ball in all conditions, and the ACC technology is created by a special treatment during the development of the upper materials.

The lightweight and chemical-free sock liner is made of 100% castor beans and eliminates any layers for a snug fit and enhanced touch on the ball. An anatomical and asymmetrical heel counter and heel bucket locks the foot down for stability and support, again the engineering is from Pebax® Rnew, derived from castor bean oil.

An extremely limited release, the Nike GS2 football boots are available from select retailers with a pre-order date of November 23rd and launch December 1st. For those boot fans lucky to get their hands on a pair, you can expect to part with around £250 GBP / $300 USD to own Nike's most revolutionary boot to date.
