Man City are bringing something new to the table, fusing football culture with digital innovation by linking up with EA Sports for a special-edition kit drop. With it’s glitchy visuals and holographic detailing, the kit blends the real and virtual worlds like never before…
Manchester City & PUMA have teamed up with EA Sports for a collaboration that blurs the line between reality and the digital realm. Today, they have unveiled a special edition fourth kit that looks more like part of a code than it does clothing, with graphics that were equally built for the game as much as they were for the pitch. It's a shirt that would look comfortable under the Champions League nights, or in the middle of Pro Clubs.
The shirt takes majority inspiration from the virtual world, drenched in a deep tech-inspired teal and laced with geometric pulse patterns that echo the energy of data streams. Its aesthetic is nothing but innovation. Overlapping triangles and lines take us further into EA territories, leaning into that cyber dreamscape with glitch-like looks.
As usual, the Manchester City badge sits next to the PUMA logo on the chest of the shirt. But it is so much more than that. For the first time ever, the kit features an NFC chip within the club crest, which will allow fans to get exclusive content in FC26. It’s a good day to be a City fan…
Of course, you can expect to see these new garms in the gaming world, but we are also hoping for a real-life debut out on the pitch soon. This is the future of football.
