Cruzeiro and adidas have unveiled the club’s third shirt for the 2025/26 season, and it’s a poetic tribute to one of Brazil’s most iconic natural landmarks — the São Francisco River.
Known affectionately as “Velho Chico,” the São Francisco River is a lifeline that flows through the heart of Minas Gerais, and now, it courses through the fabric of Cruzeiro’s new third kit for 25/26. The shirt is a visual journey, echoing the movement and energy of the river that inspired it. A palette of blues — from deep navy to shimmering sky — creates a dynamic gradient across the jersey, mimicking the São Francisco’s ever-changing waters. Subtle graphic patterns ripple throughout, evoking the flow and rhythm of the river’s 2,800 km stretch to the Atlantic.
Gold accents elevate the design, with adidas’ iconic three stripes and the club crest shimmering like sunlight dancing on the water’s surface. Two side stripes add a sleek touch, while the full kit is completed with matching blue shorts and socks, keeping the look cohesive and fluid.
The design is a celebration of roots, rhythm, and the relentless power of identity. The São Francisco River is a symbol of life, tradition, and identity — much like Cruzeiro itself. Both are born of Minas Gerais, both carry history, and both unite generations with pride and passion.
The launch campaign brought the story to life with a photoshoot featuring stars from both the men’s and women’s squads. Lucas Villalba, Kaiki Bruno, Lucas Silva, and Christian represented the Raposa, while Byanca Brasil, Vitória Calhau, and Leticia Ferreira stood tall for the Cabulosas. Together, they embody the spirit of a club that flows with strength, heritage, and unwavering pride.
