For the new 2025/26 away kit, Newcastle United and adidas celebrate the city’s finest landmark as they present a design that draws inspiration from the iconic Tyne Bridge. With a bold green colour palette and retro nods, the Geordies are looking to go hard for those cold European away nights.

Newcastle United and adidas have officially revealed the club’s away kit for 2025/26, and it safe to say it is an eye-catcher. The design pays tribute to one of the city’s most recognisable architectural landmarks – the Tyne Bridge – as they continue to celebrate their home town and the passion of the Geordie fans.

When asked about the new design, adidas said: “While Newcastle United and their fans will wear this kit on the road, we wanted to make sure that a part of the city was travelling with them. We took the famous Tyne Bridge arch as inspiration and created the bold pattern to represent the iconic structure across the new shirt.”

Channelling the spirit of the Geordie’s industrial heritage and urban pride, the new away threads revived the bold green colourway last seen during the 23/24 season when Castore was kit provider. The green is complemented by crisp white detailing along the collar, sleeve cuffs, and stripes. At the heart of the design is an all-over graphic print which speaks to the distinctive arching silhouette of the iconic Tyne Bridge – the pride of Newcastle. The away shirt features a clean v-neck collar for a modern aesthetic, whilst being matched with white shorts that contrast the pops of green. On the back of the shirt, adidas nod to Newcastle United past with a sign off that features the old club crest from the years of 1976 – ’83 with that iconic magpie design, a tribute older generation Geordie fans are sure to appreciate.

Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimarães said: “Away games are always special because of the incredible support we get from our fans. No matter where we go, you can hear the noise and the singing. Seeing our fans proudly wearing their Newcastle shirts – it means so much to us players. I think this new away kit looks great - I love all of our kits for this season. I’m sure our fans will love them too, because they represent who we are and what it means to wear the Newcastle United badge.”
