Brazilian powerhouses Fluminense have unveiled their new 2025 away kit, created in collaboration with longtime technical partner Umbro—and it’s a classy homage to club tradition with a fresh twist of modern minimalism. Set to debut this Sunday against Atlético-MG in the eighth round of the Brasileirão, the white-hot drop sets the tone for a season packed with domestic and international ambition.
Carrying on the time-honoured tradition of a clean white base for the Fluminense away look, the 2025 edition elevates the aesthetic with a more refined, sharply tailored vibe. The shirt is dominated by a strong V-neck collar—more robust than in recent seasons—accented by Fluminense’s iconic green and maroon. That same embroidery wraps the sleeve cuffs, bringing symmetry and subtle swagger to the silhouette.
While the front keeps it crisp, the sides of the jersey tell a deeper story. Split vertically—green on the right, maroon on the left—the colour-blocked panels are peppered with understated graphics inspired by the rich heritage of Tricolor das Laranjeiras. It's a clever nod to the past, modernised with a minimalist design language that doesn’t scream but whispers style and significance.
Around the back, the commitment to detail continues. Sitting just beneath the collar, a maroon insert frames the nickname “Flu” in green, housed within a pixelated white trapezoid—an unexpected digital twist in an otherwise classic composition. The player names and numbers follow suit, rendered in a pixel-style maroon font, standing out while staying on theme.
“For this year’s second uniform, we decided to bring a model with a minimalist aesthetic, but without neglecting to display classic and more refined details, combining tradition with modernity. The end result of the production was a beautiful jersey, which will certainly be worn by Flu fans not only in the stadiums, but at many different times,” says out Eduardo Dal Pogetto, director of Umbro.
This isn’t just another white away shirt—it’s a considered evolution. It will be worn across all competitions in 2025, from the Brazilian Championship and Copa do Brasil to the continental Copa Sul-Americana and the Club World Cup stage.
A bold yet respectful take on Fluminense's legacy, the 2025 away jersey proves once again that when Umbro and tradition collide, beautiful football fashion is never far behind.
