Bundesliga 2 side 1. FC Nürnberg have released a special edition kit celebrating their 125-year anniversary. Taking inspiration from kits from their earlier years, the shirt features vintage detailing alongside the traditional red and white colours of the club.
The Bundesliga 2 side founded in 1900 are celebrating their 125-year anniversary this year, making it special with a limited-edition kit which pays tribute to the history of the club as well as looking forward to the future. The club has come along way since 18 young men who gathered at a pub founded it, going on to win various regional and national trophies including a Bundesliga and four DFB Pokal's. They celebrate this history with a stunning new kit which embraces the traditional looks of kits from the club's early days.
The anniversary shirt brings a similar energy to the '98 away shirt which adidas also designed with a traditional striped design. The Three Stripes strip this shirt back to simplicity and class, focusing on vintage detailing amongst a minimalistic design. Now, it wouldn't feel vintage if adidas didn't bring back the iconic Trefoil logo, which is embroidered into the chest in gold to give a slight taste of luxury to the shirt. Alongside the Trefoil, a bespoke club crest sits proud, designed with intricate golden detailing around the borders which highlight the memorable occasion.
This truly is a beautiful shirt to celebrate 125 years. We look forward to seeing it make it's on-pitch debut.
