Nike's Black History Month UK Jersey Officially Launches

In the wake of the well-documented events in Bulgaria this week, Nike’s Black History Month UK jersey takes on more relevance than ever, having been designed as a symbol of solidarity and shared identity. Fittingly, on the back of England’s strong display in the face of such adversity, the shirt is now available to buy.

Nike unveiled the Black History Month UK jersey this week in celebration of the most influential black British athletes, and the latest football product launched around the campaign was worn by the entire England squad in training duing this week’s international break. The jersey aligns with Nike’s belief that sport has the power to unite and that all athletes should be treated equally; a poignant message, and one that quite incredibly still needs spreading given the recent events in Bulgaria.

The Black History Month UK Jersey is available in two separate designs: Home and Away. The home shirt takes a black base, while the away shirt is white. The disrupted glitch print on both is inspired by Afrofuturism, looking at the future with positivity and hope to encourage change, while the raglan sleeve design allows for an eye-catching graphic. The jersey is available in men’s, women’s and kid's sizes, offering everyone the opportunity to support the ‘Until We All Win’ mantra, which features inside the neckline.
