Aston Villa Launch 15/16 kits by Macron

Taking the tone of Manager Tim Sherwood, Aston Villa have launched their new kits for the forthcoming Premier League season under the campaign of '#Sayitlikesherwood'

Using a dab of different fonts and a touch of monochrome photography, Aston Villa have unveiled a traditional claret and blue home kit that is in keeping with themes of kits in recent years though moving things on with subtle touches of finer detail. Horizontal pin stripes across the body of the shirt help it stand out while the striped trim across the cuffs and collar give it a clean finish. A pretty little ditty.

Spicing it up a little, the away kit is something the club have called a 'statement piece'. A vibrant yellow with tonal features such as the badge and sponsor - this is a sharp shirt that mashes up tradition with current trends. A round neck collar with button is a contemporary addition and this shirt, like the home also features detailing to the neck line.

Available to pre-order now, there's no doubt the #Sayitlikesherwood campaign will provide some interesting feedback across social media. Though all in all it's a strong launch that incorporates a plethora of typography in the campaign creatives.
