Pro:Direct Soccer Opens Revolutionary PD:FC Concept Store In Manchester

Pro:Direct Soccer is redefining what a football retail space can be with the launch of its groundbreaking PD:FC Concept Store in Manchester. Blending football heritage, style and innovation, it’s not just a shop – it’s a cultural landmark and an immersive hub built for those who live and breathe the game.

High street retail isn’t what it once was. Once the undisputed heart of shopping, it has spent the past decade being reshaped, challenged, and often overshadowed by the digital age. And leading that digital revolution, long before most brands even understood its potential, was Pro:Direct Soccer. For nearly 30 years they’ve defined what online sports retail can be. They’ve existed for as long as modern football culture itself, from the days of France ’98 and the birth of the Nike Mercurial and the numerous iterations of the adidas Predator, through eras defined by Beckham, Zidane, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and so many more. Their roots run deep into the game’s evolution.

So when Pro:Direct announced they were opening a physical store, it made us stop, scroll back, and read again. Why would the pioneers of online retail step onto the high street? The answer: because this isn’t a shop. It’s something far bigger.

Situated in Manchester Arndale, the brand-new PD:FC Concept Store reimagines what physical retail can be, and it’s what football culture has been waiting for. This two-floor, 9,180 sq ft space is more than just a place to buy boots or kits. It’s immersive. Experiential. A cultural hub built for people who don’t just watch football, they live it.

Call it a store and you sell it short. This is the Boutique of Football.

Every inch of PD:FC has been crafted to bring fans closer to the game. Curated lifestyle brands inspired by terrace culture sit alongside cutting-edge performance gear. Digital innovation – usually reserved for elite pros – now becomes part of the customer journey, including an in‑store 3D foot‑scanning machine capable of analysing fit with pinpoint precision. This isn’t retail as we know it. It’s retail fused with fandom.

And Manchester is the only city where this concept could have debuted.

Manchester is the beating heart of football culture,” says Sam Baldock, Chief of Brand at Pro:Direct Sport. He’s not wrong. Few cities breathe football the way Manchester does, from its world-famous clubs to its global influence on sound and style. It’s a place where the terraces, the stadiums, and the streets are part of one continuous cultural ecosystem. And PD:FC plugs directly into that heartbeat.

The store doesn’t just complement the city’s heritage in football, music and fashion, it celebrates it. It positions itself at the crossroads of those cultures: a space where a new generation of players, creators, and obsessives can connect with the sport in ways that go far beyond match day.

Baldock adds: “Launching PD:FC isn’t just about opening a store; it’s about creating a space that lives and breathes football… a home for the football-inspired community.

PD:FC officially opens its doors on 21 February 2026, but the celebrations don’t stop there. One week later, on 28 February, the brand is hosting a first-come, first-served launch event that promises to be unmissable. Fans entering the store will have the chance to unlock prizes that money simply can’t buy, including access to special surprise guests who embody the culture PD:FC was built to champion.

In an era where shopping has become increasingly digital and disposable, Pro:Direct Soccer has taken the bold step to reinvent the high street experience, creating a destination, a meeting point, a cultural touchstone for football lovers.
