StockX, the leading luxury resale marketplace, has created a short-video titled ‘Our Time’ to mark its ongoing lifestyle sponsorship of some of the UK’s biggest names in women’s football ahead of the 2019 Women's World Cup in France this summer.

As England and Scotland prepare for the World Cup in France this summer, StockX, has teamed up with some of the girls to see how they fare in a head-to-head on the streets. Scattered with references to Nike's famous 'The Cage' ad from 2002, the film sees Gabby George, Beth England, Katie Zelem and Laura Rafferty take on Millie Bright, Carly Telford, Fran Kirby, Caroline Weir and Tash Harding in a battle for the pitch, all whilst trying to keep their sneakers fresh.

The film has been released as StockX announces ongoing sponsorships of all the players featured. Whilst some of the big sports brands help push the players on the pitch, StockX focuses on supporting the team beyond the pitch. Derek Morrison, Director for StockX in Europe, says, “Each of these women is operating at a world class level, and StockX is proud to sponsor them. As a lifestyle brand, we want to support them beyond the pitch and celebrate all the hard work and dedication that got them there. I hope that 'Our Time' inspires my daughter, and others like her, to follow their example.”

Tijana Tamburic, Founder of Female Narratives and Creative Director for 'Our Time' says, “The Cage was such an iconic video that has been referenced so many times but never with women. It's been 17 years and we wanted to level the playing field because football is everyone's game and these players are badass.”
