With a backing of emphatic support, Toronto FC started their 2018 MLS campaign by hosting Columbus Crew. A match up many thought the home side would dominate at the always impressive BMO Field, the script wasn't followed as Columbus Crew picked up the points.
Toronto FC are a proven powerhouse in Major League Soccer so you can be forgiven by thinking this would be a rather routine fixture for the home side. Perhaps Toronto FC were still settling in to the post pre-season rhythm as it was the travelling Columbus Crew who turned the screw. Dispatching the home side with a solid double act, both goals brought a buzz to the Columbus Crew style of play and with a double dent in the Toronto FC armour, the away side will have left on a high.

For Toronto FC, it's the CONCACAF Champions League Quarter Final that gives them an opportunity to put their minds back in to winning ways. A tail end of the week match-up under the lights against TIGRES could be a perfect remedy. For the victors of this MLS match-up though, Columbus Crew, they can continue to focus on the MLS and a home tie against Montreal Impact.
