The Last Game at the Boelyn Ground by Elliott Wilcox

Leaving behind a legacy of over one hundred years of memories, photographer Elliott Wilcox headed down to capture the energy from West Ham United's final ever game at the Boelyn ground.

Celebrated with a win over Manchester United, this was the last time many fans will do this famous walk up across its iconic streets. With the world looking on, one football's most romantic mecca's was wished a fond farewell.

Some description

Laden with character from top to bottom, it's a stadium that has been made special by those who have sat in its seats and stood on its terraces. Now an era that will live forever in the history books, it will endlessly be known as a ground well remembered. That Di Canio Volley, Dagenham Motors and it's Jellied Eel... quite marvellous.

Some description

One for the global game to enjoy, this work by London photographer Elliott Wilcox should be celebrated along with the stadium. Get down to the Boelyn Ground to soak it up while you can. It's a living football museum and an inspiration all over having produced just so many incredible players.

Up the Irons, regardless of who you support this time around.
