Global Boot Spotting

Another week of Boot Spotting sees a premium new limited edition release from adidas getting a run out, as well as Nike’s latest looks for the Champions League being used. Chuck in some other signature editions, some switch ups and one odd combo and we’re in business.

David Alaba (Real Madrid) adidas Predator Edge .1 Low

This week, adidas dropped a premium version of the Predator Edge, icing out its most iconic franchise with Swarovski crystals. Several players had been spotted in the limited edition boots ahead of launch, including David Alaba, who wore it in Real Madrid's 2-1 win over Celta Vigo.

Jude Bellingham (Borussia Dortmund) adidas Predator Edge .1 Low

Fast becoming the Predator man for all occasions, Jude Bellingham laced up in the Predator Edge .1 Swarovski, which combined camo with crystals in what is adidas’s latest limited edition. The England man wore them in Dortmund's 1-4 loss to RB Leipzig.

Moise Kean (Juventus) adidas Predator Edge + Crystal

Moise Kean is the type of player that can definitely pull off the adidas Predator Edge + Swarovski, and sure enough the Juve man came off the bench in the 1-0 loss against Inter in the laceless '+' version.

Alexia Putellas (Barcelona Femeni) Nike Phantom GT II

Ballon d'Or winner Alexia Putellas debuted the new 'Progress Pack' colourway of the Nike Phantom GT II in her side's impressive win over Real Madrid in the Champions League, a game that played out in front of a record-breaking crowd at the Nou Camp.

Ada Hegerberg (Lyon) Nike Mercurial Vapor 14

In the other semi final second leg, Lyon were able to turn around a 2-1 deficit to set up a final against Barcelona. Ada Hegerberg got the first of Lyon's three goals that night, and she did so in the Nike Progress Pack Mercurial Vapor 14.

Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal) New Balance Furon v6+

Looks like there's change ahead for Alexandre Lacazette, and not just on the club front. The Frenchman appears to have made the switch to New Balance, wearing the Furon v6+ in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Brentford this week, and again in training. Nothing official, but one to watch out for.

Granit Xhaka (Switzerland ) PUMA Future Z 1.3

Granit Xhaka made his 100th appearance for the Swiss national side this week, and to mark the occasion PUMA honoured the Arsenal man with a special pair of custom Future Z 1.3 boots. The sleek black base was joined by gold details, calling out his achievement.

Alphonso Davies (Bayern Munich) Nike Mercurial Vapor NJR

Alphonso Davies is nearing a return from injury, and for his latest foray onto the training field, the Canadian laced up in the Nike Mercurial Vapor 'Jogo Prismático', Neymar's last signature edition from the Swoosh before he made the jump to PUMA.

Antoine Griezmann (Atletico Madrid) PUMA Ultra 1.3/1.4

Interesting choice from Antoine Griezman in Atletico's 4-1 win over Alaves... The Frenchman opted for different boots on each foot, with the PUMA Ultra 1.4 on his right and the 1.3 on his left. Always makes us think players have lost a boot when we get these kind of mismatches...

Ferland Mendy (Real Madrid) adidas predator LZ

Always enjoy seeing the Predator LZ rerelease getting a run out, and this week Real Madrid's Ferland Mendy laced up in the retro option from the adidas 'Unite Football' Pack.

Leroy Sane (Bayern Munich) Nike Mercurial Vapor 14

This week Leroy Sané was spotted in what looked to be a signature pair of Nike Mercurial Vapor 14 in training, and the German international went on to debut them officially in Bayern's 4-1 win over Freiburg.

Hulk (Atletico Mineiro) adidas X Speedflow .1 Mi Historia

Hulk bagged a brace as Atlético Mineiro beat Cruzeiro 3-1 to win the Campeonato Mineiro this weekend, and he did so in the Messi signature edition adidas X Speedflow .1 'Mi Historia'.

Gareth Bale (Real Madrid) adidas F50 Adizero IV

Gareth Bale continues to do pretty much what he likes, when he likes, as evidenced by his boot choice recently. The Wales man wore the adidas F50 Adizero IV for the midweek internationals and stuck with them when he returned to training with Real.
