Leo Messi has switched into his World Cup wheels this week as he joined up with his Argentina teammates in Buenos Aires. A signtaure slice of style is heading Messi's way as he'll wear a bright green edition of the next-generation Nemeziz in Russia.

Set to launch next week as part of the full adidas "Energy Mode" Pack for the 2018 World Cup, the Messi Nemeziz 18.1 will drop alongside a standard colourway of the next generation Nemeziz boot, and fresh takes on the Predator 18+ and COPA series. The latest X 18+ model has of course already launched ahead of an early Champions League debut before attentions turn to Russia.

The second generation Nemeziz chapter is a subtle upgrade on the 17+ design and will be headlined by a laceless 18+ edition in the colourway which will be worn by all adidas Nemeziz players competing in Russia next month. As for Messi though, he's a bit different – he'll be wearing his own colourway in the laced 18.1 version – a boot he was keen to share on his Instagram story yesterday.
